Hello everyone!

I post here because I do not understand much of your language.

Is there an english corner somwhere?

I would like to ask some questions

Hello,

You start writing here so - ask the question here ;) If we could help we will answer it :good:

P.S. Наистина трябва да се замислим за един раздел за чуждестранна кореспонденция - не е първия чужденец, който е питал.

Просто да има една секция - "English/Foreign Section" и там да питат хората ;)

I am a mitsubishi owner. In Romania we have also a forum www.mitsu.ro

This is my car. http://www.mitsu.ro/forums/viewtopic.php?t=368

I have friends in Ruse and that is how i found this forum.

I just wanted to know more about Mitsubishi owner.

Do you gather? Do you make trips together?... etc

I was once in Veliko Trnovo and I saw a Honda fans meeting and then I started tihinking that there must be a Mitsubishi forum also.

To all the question we could say - YES! :icon_dance:

We gather although the Mitsubishi mark is not so common in Bulgaria for the rоumer that the parts are very expensive and etc., and so the gatherings are smaller than Honda or the BMW (which last meeting was about 700-800 cars).

The last meeting was in Stara Zagora's Mineral Baths (here is a link to the post with the pictures of the gathering => http://www.mitsubishibg.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=6559 ; http://www.snimka.bg/album.php?album_id=25...404&lp=-245 ;) ) To be exact we have a club, which was created after the forum - Mitsubishi Bulgaria Fan Club. The are and local gatherings - example: the fans from Sofia region or Ruse region, Varna region gather in there area - just locals, although everyone is invited, but it is easier for the locals to gather at their home town :drinks: It is easy to recognize the members of the club - they have tags under their plates with the sign "Mitsubishi Fan Club Bulgaria" and stickers on the windows (rear and side) with the same sign. :icon_blush:

P.S. Nice Mitsu you have there ;)

By the way, Dacia Logan is gaining alarming popularity in Europe... I see more and more cars of this brand in Austria. They cost about 9000?, no other brand can beat the price. I have been once in a Dacia in India! Compared to the original indian Tata, the Dacia taxi felt one class below. This is a clearly indicating a decline in the European consumer expectations and living standard... Who on earth, would ever buy this here? But people do buy them. A Mitsubishi of a same class would suffer similar price depreciation, but the significant difference is they are cool cars, don't really break and if that happens it's definitely worth repairing... And people love them so much that write in the Mitsubishi forums at nights :D :D :D

But I think you should be proud that Romania managed to develop automotive industry in the former regime, and to further run this industry today, on EU scale. Who knows, maybe my next car would be Dacia? Or Mitsubishi Logan, Made in Romania?:D

I just would like to thanks our Romanian friend Andrei RC - today, because of him, because of he'd wrote and a discussion he provoked we already have a new section in our community - this is the International part of the Mitsubishi Fan club forum.

I'll be very happy to see you again here - with the same enthusiasm and activity as you've started a few days ago. Thank you ones again and please, be our guest, be our friend and most of all - be our voice and face in Romania!

Why suould I be proud? Because of the Dacia we have huge taxes that protect the car export and selling of new cars.

I would like more to have a 2000 galant v6 than a 2007 1.6 liters Lancer. logan is good as a family car but is not a car to drive it to the limit.

And because is so cheap every redneck can have it and he drives it like a Schumacher.

Could somebody tell me when is the next meeting near Ruse?

We will invite the colleges - Adidas and the others from the North Bulgaria region to join in the conversation, to say if they have planned something for the near future ;) If they join i am sure that there will gather pretty fast - that's the good about our club - we do spontaneous meetings, schedule them a week or even a couple of days before the date. :icon_dance:

Welcome, Andrey, nice to meet you!

And we plan a winter meeting in North Bulgaria, it is around 200 km away from Rouse, so you are welcome to join us!

That's an interesting standpoint.

I surely do not know the details about the Dacia-Renault venture and all implications from its presence in Romania. But based on a common understanding, I regard it as a valuable investment opening thousands of jobs in the automotive industry, generating revenues and net income, all having positive social and economical impacts. Increased taxes are perhaps a byproduct of such investments and could also be attributed to specifics in the Romanian economy and politics. Surely the entrance in the EU also made the situation less appealing for the average consumer. All in all, the investments are a good thing. And the redneck situation has nothing to do with this as it is a social fenomenon. The Dacia allows many families to have a new car - poor one, but new. And driving to the limits is not a priority for many. I would have been proud to see a Bulgarian car every day on the roads!

The funny part is that there was an offer from a Japan company Mitsubishi or Toyota to build here a factory but some greedy minister just wants to hit the jackpot and our Japan friends say NO. I know this from my Business English Lecture who was a translator on the Japan delegation.

There are numerous examples of this kind. The former semiconductor plants in Botevgrad have been targeted by investors in the early 90s. Bulgaria has been known to have full semiconductor production capabilities in Pravets, with wide range of products (standard digital, microprocessors and analog) serving the whole socialist block. It is interesting to note that Romania, Hungary, Chechoslovakia, DDR and Yugoslavia have also developed semiconductor industries in the 70s-80s. USSR was leading this, but Bulgaria's distinctive specialty was the production of Disc Memories and microcomputers compatible with Apple - Bulgaria produced microprocessors with compatible instruction set to Zilog Z80 and 6502, and industrial computer mainframes. Of course there was no research and development and most technologies have been obtained either by reverse engineering, industrial espionage or traded for (example - weapons produced in Arsenal). This industry alone employed about 300 000 people and generated billion-dollar revenues. This was is in the 70-80s! This powerful infrastructure has been totally ruined in the 90s. The Disc Memory plant in Stara Zagora became famous for its production of illegal audio and data CDs. Just for comparison, the ex-DDR semiconductor plants are today's AMD plants delivering on global scale microprocessors for PCs, and Infineon, delivering DRAMs. In the automotive industry, Bulgaria's specialty was the assembly of kits (complete knock down, CKD). Notable examples are the AZLK plant assembling cars by CDK from USSR, Liaz Madara trucks by CDK from Chechoslovakia, and origianl industrial electrocarts. Rover attempted to outsource production of the old Austin Maestro model in Varna also from CDKs. It was surely an outdated vehicle and perhaps their strategy was wrong (to deploy an 80s car in the mid 90s would work in India or China, but not in a competitive second hand car market like Bulgaria), but the long term benefits have not been foreseen by our politicians, and Rover quickly pulled out due to low domestic demand. Today the same infrastructure and resources could have been used by Nissan or alike. Situation is similar in the chemical and heavy industries, etc. When you pass by, say, Hungary, you would be amazed by the multitude of factories of all known brands, producing not only on domestic, but on EU scale. The Audi TT model is produced entirely in Gyor, for example. Skoda is deploying all models in India. India itself is producing number of originally designed automobiles, I was amazed to realise this. These are working economies, based on production and bottom line, not based on speculative trading, grey economy and endless political gaming.

Here is exactly the same thing. Nokia moved one of his factories here in an industrial park. After that other companies were interested to invest in the same place but the "wise guys" (from political parties) bought all the lands around and started to ask very much money.

Mercedes for example preferred to go to Hungary because Romania had no road infrastructure. A low salary is not enough to tempt a major investor.

I am proud when is see a Dacia outside Romania but here i must be careful on the driver. I agree Dacia is a good thing happening to Romania. But I as an individual do not like the side effects of this investment
